The lily pad is a place to rest, to pause, catch your breath, and figure out what comes next. It's not a destination; it's a moment of stillness in the middle of something bigger.
That's exactly what I want this space to be for you.
So many women come to me exhausted - not just from the physical demands of life, but from years of feeling unwell without clear answers. Fatigue that never fully lifts, hormonal imbalances that quietly reshape who you are, iron deficiency that gets dismissed as normal when it's anything but. When your body is running on empty, it's nearly impossible to imagine being anything other than tired.
But what if the fatigue is a signal, not a life sentence?
Lilypad Holistic Wellness
Lilypad Holistic Wellness exists for the woman who is ready to stop, rest, and look honestly at what's keeping her stuck, physically, and in every other way. Because healing the body is often the first step toward becoming the person you were always meant to be. Your past doesn't define your future. What your bloodwork says today isn't the end of the story. The limiting beliefs you've carried about your health, your energy, and what's possible for you can change too. Where you are right now is a starting point, not a verdict.
Rest here for a moment. Then let's figure out what comes next.

Hi, i’m suzanne.
I'm a holistic nutritionist in Ottawa, Canada, with gluten intolerance (non-celiac gluten sensitivity) and Hashimoto's, an autoimmune condition. I've also been living with iron deficiency for over 25 years.
For a long time I was told I was fine, even when my ferritin was sitting at 9. I kept supplementing, assuming that was the answer, and wondering why nothing was changing. It took years of digging deeper to understand that iron deficiency isn't just a matter of taking more iron. There are reasons why levels stay low, and finding those reasons is what actually moves the needle.
My own path to understanding iron deficiency ran alongside other health challenges too. I've been gluten-free for over ten years and was eventually diagnosed with Hashimoto's. The more I learned, the more I could see how these things connect. Thyroid function, gut health, and iron status don't operate in isolation, and understanding that changed everything about how I approached my own health.
I used to exist on packaged gluten-free foods and processed vegetarian not-food products (frozen veggie burgers, anyone?). I'm not saying that I eat perfectly now, but I'm passionate about using real, whole foods as a way to heal our bodies.
My own health journey is what led me to nutrition, and it's what keeps me close to the work. That first-hand experience is at the heart of everything I do with clients.
My Approach
Seeking the root cause
You need to do more than just address symptoms. While I do recognize that you want the symptoms to go away, they’re not going to stay away until we seek and address the root cause of what’s happening in your body.
the holistic approach
As a holistic nutritionist, I look beyond symptoms to the full picture — your food choices, lifestyle habits, environment, stress load, and even the products you put on your skin. Real, lasting change comes from understanding how all of these factors interact, not from addressing one thing in isolation. Because the goal isn't a short-term fix — it's a sustainable approach that actually fits your life.
